Student Visits to Reprofit International and the Centre of Prenatal Diagnostics Brno
During the autumn semester of our study programme Embryologist at the Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, students took part in two professionally focused on-site visits which provided students with valuable insight into the real-world operation of clinical workplaces.
Third-year students visited the IVF clinic Reprofit International s.r.o. as part of the course Propaedeutics of Assisted Reproduction. The visit provided insight into modern assisted reproduction techniques, laboratory procedures, and the organisation of clinical workflows in a specialised infertility treatment centre.
Fifth-year students visited the Centre of Prenatal Diagnostics Brno as part of a review of congenital anomalies, prenatal care, and related diagnostic methods. They strengthened their knowledge in prenatal medicine, cytogenetics, and laboratory approaches used in prenatal diagnostics.
We would like to thank Dr. Soňa Kloudová, Dr. Pavel Otevřel, Dr. Pavel Vlašín, Dr. Ilga Grochová, and Dr. Diana Nikulenkov Grochová for their expertise, guidance, and willingness to engage with the students’ questions.
These visits help connect academic education with real clinical environments and represent a valuable part of our students’ practical training.
